We invite you to our events and to experience German culture which plays a large part in Dayton’s history. Once you’ve experienced the Gemütlichkeit (hospitality, warmth and friendliness) enjoyed by our members, you’ll want to be one, too!

Your Membership Provides

Membership Categories

There are several different Membership Categories available to fit your needs as an individual or as a family.

Young Adult – For individuals age 18-25 only. $20 (one year), $38 (two year), $54 (three year)
Individual – For one person age 26 and up. $35 (one year), $66 (two year), $95 (three year)
Family – For members of a family that share a household, regardless of age i.e. spouses, children, parents & partners. $55 (one year), $105 (two year), $150 (three year)
Patron – Includes subscription to German Life magazine (subscription begins every April) and two patron passes, which provide free admission for one one person, for one paid event each. $100 (one year), $190 (two year), $270 (three year)
Lifetime Membership – Available for a one-time payment of $1,500 for a Family or $1,000 for an Individual. Special Membership: Dues can be waived or reduced for a member needing assistance- please contact the Membership Secretary.German Life Magazine Subscription – $25 and must be paid by March 1st in order to be included for that year.

Membership Dues

To remain a member in good standing, dues must be paid annually by January 31st (unless multiple years paid for).

Dues can be gifted or purchased for someone else, please inform the Membership Secretary in such cases. If the paid dues are for a new member they will still need to complete an application.

Become a Member

To become a member, please fill out an application below. Your application will be reviewed at the next board meeting, which is on the last Tuesday every month. Once the board has approved your application ​and we have received you​r dues, you will receive a confirmation email then a membership card in the mail.
