GermanFest Picnic Meeting
The next meeting will be Wednesday, July 15th at 7:00pm. We will be discussing the status of all key components of the picnic.
All event/activity chairpersons, crew chiefs, volunteers, and interested members are welcome to attend.
If you are interested in volunteering at the 2009 GermanFest Picnic, please contact John Koerner
to learn more about how you can get involved.
Semi-Annual Meeting
The Semi-Annual Meeting is scheduled for July 23rd at 7:30pm. Board Members will give their semi-annual report.
All members welcome and encouraged to attend.

The GermanFest Picnic is right around the corner and it is time again to search for volunteers! The success of the picnic depends on the gracious help from volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering at the picnic please

GermanFest Picnic Culture Display
This year's culture exhibit at the German Picnic will feature Berlin and the 20th Anniversary of the "Fall of the Wall." If you have any Berlin souvenirs,
Wall fragments, etc. that you would be willing to lend us for the display, please contact Carl and Judy Schneider at 937-433-3451 or email
Judy as soon as possible. We'd really like to borrow a big old stuffed brown or black
bear (no pandas, please - that's China!) Thank you!
GermanFest Picnic 5k Race/Walk

Scholarship & Grant Winners!
Congratulations to the 2009 winners of the DLT scholarship and education grant program. Our $1,500 academic scholarship winner is
Lucille Martin, a senior at Xenia High School, who plans to attend Ohio State University majoring in physical therapy. Our $500
education grant winner is Amanda Lilley, a senior at Fairborn High School, who plans to attend Muskingum College majoring in physical
therapy. Awards to our 2009 winners will be made at the GermanFest Picnic opening ceremonies. The DLT scholarship/grant program is
one of the benefits of membership.
