Fall Wein Tasting

Join us for our Fall Wein Tasting & Food Pairing, on Sunday, October 27th, at 1:30 pm, doors open at 1:00 pm. You will enjoy weins from Germany and the surrounding area. Each wein will have wonderful small bites for you to savor along with it. This is a fun afternoon to discover some new weins and hang out with friends! You’ll receive a DLT wein glass to take home. For those that don’t drink wein, the bar will be open. We also have amazing gift baskets that will be raffled off. All the weins will be available for purchase after the event so you can take home your favorite.

Preregistration cost is $30 guests / $25 DLT members. Pre Registration ends October 20th. After that the price increases to $45 for all.

New Member Brotzeit

NEW MEMBER APPRECIATION AND ORIENTATION NIGHT

The Liederkranz Board would like to invite all new members to a free Brotzeit Abend on Friday, November 1st. The event will start at 6:00 PM and the Liederkranz will provide German cold cuts and finger food, and the bar will be open for adult beverages.  There are 82 new members this year and we would like to welcome them to the club.  This is an informal gathering to express our appreciation for our new members and to allow for “meet and greet” opportunities with other members.  Club officers and representatives from our various activity groups–singers, folk dancers, genealogy, cooking/baking, etc. will be present to obtain information and answer any questions.  Longer term members are encouraged to attend and meet/welcome the new folks. We only ask that you RSVP by emailing or calling our Membership Chair, info below, so that we can have enough food.  We hope to see you there!

St Martin’s Day

Families will gather in the Rathskeller at 4:30 p.m. to create lanterns for each child. All materials provided.

• While the lanterns are drying, a snack supper will be served at 5:30 p.m. in the Rathskeller
• At 6:30 p.m., we will parade with St. Martin through the St. Anne’s Hill neighborhood with our beautiful lanterns, singing the St. Martin’s carols.
• Following the parade, we will meet back at the Liederkranz parking lot for a bonfire, hot chocolate, and a special treat. Please bring lawnchairs, if desired.
• Suggested donation $20 per family
